Typically, only premiums for employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance qualify. Premiums for life insurance or plans not offered through your employer usually cannot be included. Reviewing your specific plan’s rules is essential to know which benefits are eligible.

Participation in the Premium-Only Plan usually ends when employment ends. Premiums already paid through payroll deductions remain applied to coverage, but arrangements may be needed to continue coverage through COBRA or another health plan.
